IFTA Safety Guidelines and Regulations
1. Competition Vehicle
All competition vehicles are subject to IFTA rules.
All competition vehicles are subject to random technical inspection per IFTA rules.
Any competition vehicle touching a handle bar to the ground will be required to be inspected before further practicing or competing.
Any competition vehicle making contact with a permanent or non-permanent venue structure will be required to be inspected before further practicing or competing.
Any competition vehicle making contact with another competition vehicle(s) will be required to be inspected before further practicing or competing.
Any quad coming to a rest without all four (4) wheels on the ground will be required to be inspected before further practicing or competing.
Any competition vehicle requiring more than 2 re-inspections is at risk of disqualification from further practice and competition.
All quads are to have functional tether type mechanical kill device.
 
2. Competition Apparel
Helmets must be full-face or full coverage type.
Face shields and goggles must be shatterproof.
Protective pants made of leather or other durable material must be worn.
Protective jackets made of leather or other durable material must be worn.
Youth riders must wear protective body armor (chest, back and shoulder guards).
Boots at least 8” high with laces, buckles or zippers, or specially designed and constructed for leg and foot protection.
A steel slide shoe is strongly suggested.
IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT A MEDICAL IDENTIFICATION STICKER BE PLACED SOMEWHERE ON THE COMPETITOR’S HELMETS-including name, drug allergies and blood type.
 
3. Racing identification and equipment
All motorcycles shall have a highly visible number plate on the front and each side.
All quads shall have a highly visible number plate on the front, back and each side. -Numbers shall be at least 6” in height
There shall be no knobby tires on any race vehicle.
The Duro HF245 ATV racing tire (or any similar tire) is not permitted, even though it is marketed as a flat track tire.
We will be enforcing a 98 decibel sound limit at all practices and races. Speedway bikes will be limited to 96 decibels.
